Gwenyth Jean Scheibe, 86, Springfield, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in San Antonio, TX following a stroke. She was born June 4, 1926 in San Bernardino, CA to Louis and Nell Palmer. She was a member of Wesley UMC and enjoyed bridge. Gwen was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James Scheibe. She is survived by daughters, Jan Whitten, Paula Fredrickson and husband Lynn, Carole Baker and husband Donal; grandchildren Julie Guzman and husband Robert, Philip Whitten, Cody Baker, Jean Otto, Mike Baker and wife Amy; and great grandchildren Nicholas Guzman, Brandon Otto and Daniel Baker. Funeral service will be Monday, February 4, 1:00 pm, Greenlawn North Chapel. Visitation will begin at 11:30 am. Memorial contributions may be made to Coker UMC Food Pantry, 231 E. North Loop Rd., San Antonio, TX 78216.
