H. Wayne McSwain joined his Lord in Heaven on July 4, 2014 with his wife by his side. He was born July 18, 1944 in Springfield, to Harold and Ruby (Essary) McSwain.
Wayne graduated from Central High School in 1962. He was a member of ridgecrest Baptist Church. Wayne served his country in the Army, and was a Trooper with the State of Missouri Highway Patrol for a number of years. Wayne worked as a Special Agent for BNSF Railroad and later in life became a law firm investigator. He retired from Mercy Hospital Guest Services. He was a loyal fan of the Tigers, Royals and Chiefs. He enjoyed volunteering for Hospice and being (Macko) the clown for the Shriners, but his favorite days were hunting and fishing with his boys. Wayne was a loving son, husband, father, brother and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Larry. Wayne leaves behind his wife Susie, three sons and their wives; Greg and Kelli, Scott and Alicia and Todd and Audrey, a step-daughter Holly and Guillermo Guillen two grandsons; Zachary and Maxxwel and a granddaughter Lilyana, sister Jeanne and Sid Carpenter, sister-in-law Denise and Gail Fredrick and numerous other family and friends.
Visitation and service will be at National Heights Baptist Church with visitation starting at 1:00 pm and services at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 8, 2014.
