Harlan LeRoy Graham 90 Brighton MO went to be with the Lord October 23, 2013, in his home surrounded by family. Harlan was born June 3, 1923, to Ralph and Nelle (Wells) Graham. He is a US Army WWII Veteran. He married Christina Hoodenpyle on June 28, 1946.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother Billy Richard Graham.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Christina; three daughters: Sherry and Ed Hagerman Bolivar, Reva and Paul McKnight, Brighton, and Cindy and Randy Moore, Springfield; four grandchildren: Christy and Richard Mitchell, Bolivar, Kim and Scott Buell, Brentwood TN, Nathaniel and Bobbie McKnight, Brighton, and Jennifer and Jonathan Creech, Bolivar; and six great grandchildren: Clayton Mitchell, Grant and Ellie Buell, Quintin McKnight, and McKinley and Madison Creech; his Sister-in-Law Helen Graham, Springfield; and a large extended family.
Harlan was saved as a young boy during a revival at Cherry Vale School. He was an ordained Missionary Baptist Minister who held numerous revivals and was a pastor of many churches in the area. He was a member of Slagle Missionary Baptist Church where he was the pastor for many years.
He was a lifetime farmer and had his own drywall business. His favorite times were those spent with family. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held today Friday, October 25, 2013, from 6-8pm at Pitts Chapel Bolivar. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 26, 2013, at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Elder Richard Mitchell and Elder Heath Berry officiating. Burial will follow at Slagle Cemetery with full military honors.
