Harley E. Brim, age 79, of Wheatland, MO, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011, at Christian Health Care East. He was born October 29, 1932, in Nebo, MO, to Harry and Lillian (Robinson) Brim. He was a member of the Gate of the Temple Masonic Lodge . He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict . Harley retired from Paul Mueller after 25 years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time in the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lillian Brim; three brothers, Elmer, Eugene, and Harry; and one sister, Elizabeth. He is survived by his wife of fifty – two years, Hellen Kathleen Brim Wheatland, MO; five daughters,
Jeanie Barker, Cynthia Jackson, Hellen Booth, June Ann Luttrell , all of Springfield, and Dannette Richardson of the state of New Mexico; eight grandchildren, including three special grandchildren Harley Booth, Taylor Turner and Kayla Turner, all of Springfield; one great grandson, Gregory Booth; two sisters, Pat and Audrey; and a host of friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. , Thursday, January 5, 2012, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO. Burial will be held in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
