Harold Allen Blakey, Jr., passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011, in his home. He was born in Manhattan, NY, Feb. 19, 1946, to Hortense and Harold Blakey, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother Charles Blakey.
He survived by his long-time girl-friend Lynette Reeder of the home; two sons: Harold Allen Blakey, III of Springfield, MO, and Dominic Blakey; two daughters: Sherese Blakey of NY, and Tawna; two step-children: Christopher and Laura Bridges;
three sisters: Sondra, Laverne, and Jackie; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 E. Seminole Springfield, MO, 65809 with Rev. Paul Coltharp officiating.
