Harold “Bud” Clark Dresslaer Jr. age 77, of Elkland, MO, passed away Sunday, March 28th, 2021, at Mercy Hospital.
Bud was born July 17, 1943 in Springfield, MO to Harold and Martha Dresslaer. Bud was a graduate of McAuley High School, in Joplin, MO. He was a United States Navy Veteran, serving from 1963 – 1969. He retired from Litton Industries as an electrician. Bud loved fishing, wood working, and gardening. Bud was a former Scout Master of Troop 88 of Marshfield, MO. He was a member of Haymes Chapel of Elkland, MO where he served as an Elder and Chair of the Pastor Parish Relations Committee.
Survivors include his three sons, Harold Scott Dresslaer of Carthage, MO; Daniel G. Dresslaer and wife Lois, of Clever, MO; Matthew Clark Dresslaer and wife Carrie, of Nixa, MO; son-in-law Philip White of Eufaula, OK; grandchildren, Joshua Dresslaer, Maghen Dresslaer, Paige Dresslaer, Jeremy Dresslaer, Zachery Dresslaer, Katie White, Justin White, and Ava Dresslaer; great-grandchildren, Dexter Dresslaer, Austin White, Axton White, Alexis White, and Eleanor Dresslaer; one brother, Major James Dresslaer of Wichita, KS; four sisters, Jeananne Smith and husband Steve, of Stockton, MO, Mary Hayes and husband Bob of Crane, MO, Patti Parrigon of Pierce City, MO, and Terri Parrigon and husband Mike of Reddings Mill, MO; and a host of family and friends.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Mechelle White; sister-in-law, Vicki Dresslaer; and one brother-in-law, Larry Parrigon.
A visitation for Bud will be from 12:30 – 1:30 pm, Friday, April 2, 2021 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, with a celebration of Bud’s life at 1:30 pm. Private family interment will take place at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. A reception will be held immediately after the burial, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
