Hal Poole was born Aug. 2, 1951 and went to be with the Lord Sept. 1, 2015. He died peacefully at home in his sleep after a long illness. An Air Force brat, Hal lived in Maine, Turkey and Washington, D.C. with his family. This suited his outgoing personality as he easily made friends and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He loved people and he cherished his family. Hal enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1970 and the stories he could tell would make a great movie. Semper fi; he loved America.
Hal enjoyed motorcycles, classic rock, and conservative politics. He worked in construction, and was a member of Teamsters Local 245 and American Legion Post 639. Of the Methodist faith, his heartfelt prayers before family dinners were inspiring and memorable.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Teresa; daughter Natalie Waneka and her husband James; son Lucas, brothers Scott and Burl, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
