Harold “Lyman” Peck, 85, of Fordland, MO passed away on July 29, 2024, in Springfield, MO. He was born May 4, 1939, in Christian County, MO to Ada (Essary) Peck and Lawrence Peck.
Lyman enjoyed farming with his son James in his younger years. He traveled the United States as an over-the-road truck driver with his trusty companion, Benson, until their retirement.
Lyman loved his country and was a veteran. He loved to discuss politics and could talk about Fox News all day.
Lyman was a fan of NASCAR. He tried to never miss a race, making sure to be in off the road. His love of cars was shown in his personal life. He owned and restored numerous classic cars, including a 57’ T-Bird, 67’ Camaro, and 81’ Corvette. He shared that passion with James and his son James Jr.
He was a former member of Abou Ben Adhem Shriner Corvette Unit associated with the Mount Olive Masonic Lodge.
Lyman was preceded in death by his parents; Ada and Lawrence Peck, great granddaughter; Kynlie Peck, and his siblings.
He is survived by his son, James Peck and wife Michele; daughter, Mandy Hedgers and husband Tao; grandchildren, Katie Peck, Cody Peck, James Peck Jr. and his wife Lanie, Samantha Hedgers, Emalie Peck; great grandchildren, Axel Peck, Blaklie Peck, and Millie Peck.
