Harold R. Kinsey, age 65, of Springfield, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Mercy Hospital. He was born April 24, 1946, in Quincy, Il, to Clemson and Verna (McKinney) Kinsey. He was a member of Cherry Street Baptist Church. Harold was united in marriage to Christine Trent on June 19, 1982 in Springfield, Missouri. He served in the U.S. United States Navy during Vietnam. Harold worked for St. John’s Medical Center for seventeen years. Harold was an avid collector of movies, books, and albums. He enjoyed listening to contemporary Christian and gospel music.
He was preceded in death by parents, Clemson and Verna Kinsey and one sister, Ida Louise Crim.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Christine Kinsey of the home; two children, Genese Stufflebeam and husband Paul of Fayetteville, AR and Charles Kinsey and wife Peggy of Springfield; three grandchildren, SharRon, Paul, and Rebel; and a host of friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2012, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO with Rev. John Page and Rev. Ray Adams officiating. Burial will be held in Missouri Veterans’ Cemetery, Springfield, MO. Visitation will be held from 5- 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
