Helen (Bradley) Brewer, 72, died peacefully at 2 a.m., Thursday morning, October 21, 2010, after losing her battle with cancer.
Helen was born to Lee and Goldie Bradley on February 3, 1938. She was saved at a young age. In 1957, she married her husband of 36 years, Jack Brewer, and had two children. She worked in real estate and insurance offices before working many years at the Springfield Police Department and retiring from there.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Brewer; father, Lee Bradley; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Carlos Refearn; and mother-in-law, Alice Brewer.
Left to mourn her are her mother, Goldie Bradley; daughter, Regina Riddle; son and his wife, Steve and Susan Brewer; granddaughter, Marlana Johnson; grandsons, Brandon Riddle and his wife Kim, Lane Brewer, Dustin Brewer and his wife Medina and great-grandson, Kaden; niece and her husband Susan and David Martin; sister-in-law, Delores Wise; as well as other nieces, nephews and many friends.
The family would like to thank Seasons Hospice for their wonderful care the last several months. At her request, her body will be cremated.
There will be a memorial service in Doling Family Center, 301 E. Talmage, Springfield, Mo, on Monday, October 25th, at 10 a.m., with her nephew, Pastor Lendall Morris officiating.
