Mrs. Hella Henrietta Griffin, known for her gentle soul and talent as a seamstress in the upholstery industry, passed away peacefully at her residence in Springfield, MO on April 11, 2024, due to natural causes at the age of 85.
Born on June 8, 1938, in Ettlingen, Germany. Hella’s life was one filled with grace, love, and dedication to her family. Despite facing many challenges in life, she always remained resilient, finding solace in her work and the bonds she shared with her loved ones.
Hella is survived by her devoted husband, Charles Griffin, her son Ralf Bastian, daughter-in-law Rebecca Bastian, daughter Susan Slagle, and son-in-law Stan Slagle, five grandchildren, one great-grandson and one great-great-grandson, and host of numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother, and two grandsons.
A funeral service will be held to celebrate the life of Hella Henrietta Griffin on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 10:00am in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm. Friends and extended family are invited to pay their respects where Hella will be honored and remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her.
