Henry L. “Chief” Gorrell passed away on July 15, 2009, in St. John’s Hospital, in Springfield, Mo. Chief was born in Daugherty, Okla., on July 18, 1926. Chief worked and retired from Kraft Foods in Springfield, Mo. He enjoyed his retirement, spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, fishing and visiting shut-ins. Chief was a member of Keystone Baptist Church and was honored to serve the Lord. Chief was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Nellie Mae. He is survived by wife, Flossie Hill Gorrell; son Geary Lee Gorrell; daughter Regina Seamen; grandsons, Todd Gorrell and wife, Jadine, and Ryan Gorrell and wife, Susan; and great-grandchildren, Krystal, Peace, Gavin and Logan Gorrell. Visitation will be held in Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Friday, July 17, 2009, from 7 to 8 p.m. Services will be in the funeral home on Saturday, July 18, 2009, at 1 p.m. Family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to your local hospice chapter.
