Henry Nelson Carnahan Jr. 94, best known as “Hank” Carnahan from Springfield, MO. passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020, in his home. Hank was born in Russell, MO. on August 18, 1925, to Henry and Wilma (Eidson) Carnahan. He was a retired owner-operator of Carnahan Refrigeration Company, and a member of the Sardis Baptist Church, Forsyth, MO. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy, and a member of the #178 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union. Hank loved cars, both driving and owning, along with fishing.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Audrey, his son, Johnny Paul Carnahan and two brothers: Ethan and Douglas Carnahan. He is survived by two daughters: Sharon K. Phillips and Patty McPherson, a son: Clif Carnahan and his wife, Janet, a daughter-in-law: Chris Carnahan, nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, and one brother Jimmy Carnahan and his wife Judy.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2020, at Macks Creek, MO. cemetery. no visitation is planned. Memorial donations are suggested to the Missouri Conservation Department or to the Humane Society.
