Herbert Lee Skidmore, age 82, of Springfield, MO., died at 10:10 a.m. Sunday August 26, 2012 in his home.
Herbert was born in Elkland, MO. on March 3,1930 the son of Lee and Ardie Sutton Skidmore.
He was a retired body shop supervisor for City Utilities of Springfield. He was a U. S. Marine veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sisters, and a great-granddaughter Lyric.
He is survived by his wife Georgia Miles Skidmore; two daughters, Lisa of Fair Grove: Tamera of Springfield; a grandson; a grandaughter and three great-grandchildren, Keyan, Piper, and Trenton.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday,August 28, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
