World War II Veteran Herbert Orth passed away on Memorial Day morning, Monday, May 30, 2016, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon, MO. Formerly from Creston, IA, he made his home in the Ozarks since 1961. He loved the Ozarks, the people, and the lakes.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jenny Lindsey. He is survived by his wife, Maurine; 2 daughters, Linda (& Dan) Lindsey; and Lynn (& Jay) Loveland; 3 grandchildren, their families, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at a later date and time. They will be buried in Missouri Veterans Cemetery where he and his wife will be together. Any memorials should be given to the Missouri Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon, MO.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
