Howard S. Kraybill, 88, died January 22, 2011, of complications from colon cancer surgery. He was born February 9, 1922, to Frank and Laverne Kraybill in Miami, Oklahoma. He was a senior engineer at Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Company, retiring after more than forty years with the company. He was a member of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America, Inc. (SPEBSQSA) and sang in barbershop choruses in Overland Park, Kansas City and Springfield.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Martha J. Kraybill, her daughter Terri Rullo, his two sons Allan and Stephen and many extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home South in Springfield, at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 29, 2011. Inurnment will be held at Hazelwood Cemetery Springfield, MO, at a later date.
