Huston Franklin Williamson, 91, of Springfield, Missouri passed away peacefully after a long, wonderful life with his family by his side on November 4, 2021. He was born on April 11, 1930, in Greene County to Clay and Dollie Mae Williamson. He graduated from Pleasant Hope High School in 1948. Huston and Eula Mae were married in Berryville, Arkansas on June 8, 1951.
Huston retired from Lily Tulip Cup Corporation in 1984 after 30 years as the Supervisor of Maintenance. After retirement, he and Eula Mae traveled the United States delivering boats for Bass Pro Shops. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking where he created some magnificent collectibles, including model log cabins and furniture. Other enjoyments included dancing, backyard bird watching, and Mowing his Yard.
Huston is preceded in death by his parents; half sister, Nola Beal; sister, Elsie Mae Larson; brother, Eugene “Bud” Williamson; and nephew, Marvin Lee Beal. He is survived by his wife, Eula Mae; his children: Brenda (Randy) Ricard, Tonya Mullings (Mike), and Kevin (Shelly) Williamson; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Huston will take place on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Missouri Department of Conservation in Huston’s name.
