Reese Way of Springfield, MO was welcomed to his heavenly home on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the age of 44 years, 5 months and 22 days after being struck by a truck while riding on his motorcycle.
He was born on February 4, 1970 in Dayton, OH to Maurice Tillman and Lynda Jean (Brock) Way.
Awaiting on earth to one day join him in heaven is Reese’s wife of 19.5 years, Annette; his eight children Tyler, Audrey (Billy) Way-Green, Brionna, Amanda, Joseph, Julianna, Erica and Cara Way; his parents, Maurice and Lynda Way, Springdale, AR; one brother, Josh (Veronica) Way; three nieces; one nephew and many friends.
After graduating Central High School, Reese obtained an Associate Degree in Electronics from DeVry College. He was currently enrolled at Missouri University of Science and Technology, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering and would have graduated next fall.
He was a distinguished patriot who served his country in the Army National Guard from 1989 to 1997, reaching the rank of E-5.
For over 20 years he was employed by Digital Monitoring Products, Inc. (DMP) as a Test Engineer.
Reese accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 10 and was a member of Hillside Baptist Church in Springfield.
Reese was a loving and caring husband and father. Reese’s personable nature, humble spirit and great sense of humor will be greatly missed by many.
A visitation will be held at Hillside Baptist Church 8366 W State Highway 266
Springfield, Missouri 65802 on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 6-8 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, August 6 at Hillside Baptist Church, Pastor Cecil Tolbert officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Clear Creek Cemetery.
