Ira J. Keeling, 83 of Springfield, Mo., passed away on August 10, 2009. He was born on October 25, 1925, in Elkland Mo., and attended Niangua High School. He served in the Army and married Eveline Keeling ” Letterman” on July, 5, 1949. Ira worked 21yrs at TrailMobile and was a cabinet maker until his retirement. He attended Freewill Baptist and enjoyed woodworking, fishing and dancing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eveline Keeling; brother, Paul Keeling; father, Willie Turner Keeling; mother, Della Keeling; and brothers, Joe and Billie Keeling. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Debbie Keeling; three grandchildren, Candie, Matthew and Nancy Keeling; six great-grandchildren; sister, Ethel James; nephew, Billy James; and friends, Mary Essary and Shannon Gaylor. Funeral services will be held on August 13, 2009 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North at 3 p.m. with burial following. Visitation will be held on August 12, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
