Irene was born February 2, 1933, In Strafford, MO, The daughter of Hiram and Doris Coble. She was called home to be with the lord July 29, 2025, At the age of 92, at the Ash Grove Healthcare Facility where she had resided.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Dixon and parents. Irene and Bud were united in marriage in 1962 and shared 58 good years together. After retiring, they returned to their farm in Buffalo where they raised both cattle and hay.
Irene was known for her warm, outgoing personality and always willing to listen.
Graveside service to be held at Greenlawn Cemetery North in Springfield.
