Irma E. Floyd was, above all, a servant of God and a devoted mother and grandmother. Her entire philosophy in life was to serve God, love her family with every fiber of her being, and always, always be kind to others. She was humble, empathetic, loving, God-fearing and God-loving, unselfish and warm-hearted to anyone. She adored children. She would be the first to say she was no one special, but anyone who truly knew her would never agree with that sentiment.
Irma has gone home to Heaven, rejoining the love of her life, Albert Floyd; her treasured parents, Victor and Giselle Belmor, and all the other loved ones who have left ahead of us.
Her surviving family legacy includes her sister and brother-in-law, Arlene and Randy Christianson; her three children: Catherine Floyd, David Floyd and Melinda and beloved son-in-law, Shawn Wedge; her three grandchildren: Chelsea Wedge, Ciara Miller and Brandon Wedge, adopted-in-heart granddaughter, Mercedes Loren, seven cherished great-grandchildren, and several dear nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Irma’s great passions in life were everything to do with serving our Heavenly Trinity, living for her family, cooking, studying medical knowledge and history, and both appreciating and creating arts; she loved to sing, color and color-blend. She had an amazing gift with plants, and possessed a deep and guiding wisdom that has left a huge hole for those of us who relied on her insights. She had a fiercely protective streak for anyone she felt was wronged, and a strong sense of justice. She as tiny but mighty. She was also an avid gamer, appreciated many kinds of music, and loved to laugh more than just about anything. She was humble, doting, nurturing, imaginative, artistic and sensitive, loved her family, would take no guff from anyone about those she treasured, and was the center of our world.
We praise and thank our Heavenly Father for giving us the treasure that was our Sister, Mom, Grandmother, Aunt and Best Friend.
God called home His true servant. She always said she hoped to be a caretaker angel for little ones, and perhaps that describes the heart of her the best.
