Joyce Curtis (JC) Sutherland, 86 was born April 2, 1929 in Fair Grove, MO and went home to be with Jesus in Prardise on June 23, 2015, where he was reunited with his wife Mavis and grandson Jeremy, along with his parents Frank Floyd and Gladys and his brother Arlis Sutherland. He is survived by his sons; Steve & wife Karen Sutherland and Phil and wife Robin Sutherland, five grandchildren; Justin and wife Spring Sutherland, Tim Sutherland, Jesse and wife Amy Sutherland, Michael and wife Sharran Sutherland and Melissa and husband Jason Jacques, sixteen great-grandchildren a brother; Norman Sutherland and sister Dorothy (Dottie) and her husband Marvin Batson, along with several nieces and nephews.
“Papa” to many was a lifelong Farmer. He enjoyed raising crops and milking the cows. He always had a story to tell and loved his family very much. The only thing he loved more than his family, was his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He read his Bible and prayed for each family member daily. His heart was gold and he will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2015 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial to follow in Bass Chapel Cemetery, near Strafford, MO. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial Donations may be made to Intrepid Hospice.
