Jack Edward Brownlow, age 79, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 14 in Mercy Hospital after a long illness. He was born April 13, 1935, in Springfield, to Sherman and Letha (Ussery) Brownlow. He was a member of the Kansas Expressway Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard and Reserves. Jack worked for the city of Springfield for 40 years. He is survived by his wife Ruth Brownlow, of the home, two sons Jeff Brownlow, Baton Rouge, LA. And Mike Brownlow, Springfield, MO several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his nieces: Barbara Smith, Springfield, MO, Mary Fox, Fair Grove, MO and Nancy Brown, Springfield Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 16, 2014, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO with Ray Sullins and Darren Chappell officiating. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
