Jack Raymond Evans, a great friend & prayer warrior, went to be with his best friend, Jesus on Sunday, May 26, 2013. Jack is now reunited with his Bible School sweetheart of 55 married years, Ruth Evans. He was born in Ellensburg, WA & was 82 years old. Jack was an executive for Safeway Stores Inc., in the San Francisco Bay Area. Later he became a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God. Before retirement, Jack became the Minister of Visitation at Harbor Light Church in Fremont, CA.
Jack is survived by his 2 children & spouses, Steve & Glenda Evans and Debbie & Norman Kirsch. He also has 5 grandchildren, Mark, Scott, Eddie, Tina, Todd, their 5 spouses & 9 great-grandchildren. Extended family members Dee & Don Peach, David & Miriam Good, Mark & Dalene Good and Dawn Pettenger Annas also considered Jack to be their adopted father. Jack is also survived by his sister & spouse, Glinda & Robert Correll, plus their 4 children & grand children.
Visitation for Jack will be on Sunday afternoon, June 2, 2013 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. The memorial service will be Monday, June 3, 2013 at 11:00a.m., also at Greenlawn East.
