James Albert Thompson Jr. 58, St. Louis, MO formerly of Springfield, MO passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022, in his home. He was born in Springfield, MO on October 22, 1963 to James Albert Thompson Sr. and Esma (Thomison) Thompson. James was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1981, he also attended MSU and Flo Valley Junior College. He was a 20 year employee of Nestle Foods. He volunteered with Matthew Dickey, and became Coach James of AAU Basketball and enjoyed watching all sports.
James was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents: Walter and Marjorie Marie Thompson, his Maternal Grandparents: George and Annie Thompson, as well as nine Uncles and four Aunts. He is survived by his children: Christopher Dominique Thompson and Cameron Rece Thompson, one grandson: Jaxon Dominique Thompson, his parents: James Albert Thompson Sr. and Esma Thompson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is also survived by the mother’s of his children: Lisa Marshall and Stephanie White.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial to follow, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will one hour before services, from Noon to 1:00 p.m.
