James A Crownover was born May 21, 1925 in McLoud, Oklahoma. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1942 and was a WWII veteran in the Army Air Corp flying B-25s and P-38s. He received a degree from the University of Southern California in Electrical Engineering. He married his high-school sweetheart, Mary Louis Boyts, on New Years Eve, 1945 and had two children, Sue Crownover Maughan in 1950 and John Crownover in 1952. In 1951 they moved to St. Louis and have lived there since.
He is survived by his wife, children, 3 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
