James Cleveland Bair was born to Charles and Fay Bair on April 15,1942 and passed away March 18, 2021 at the Spring Valley Health Center in Springfield after a short illness.
He is survived by his spouse of thirty years, Patty, two daughters, Angela Allen and Carla Price, one step-son, Kit Baumgartner and his wife, Yvette, one step daughter, Holly Parker, ten grandchildren and one great grand-son, brother Wayne Bair and his wife Mary, sister Cathy Bair Solsberg, and her husband Tod. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Fay Bair.
Jim graduated from Parkview High School in 1960. He worked at Frisco Railroad for many years, then as a licensed realtor and home builder. Upon retirement Jim and Patty moved to a farm in Dade County, MO, where they spent twenty years raising beef cattle.
Jim was a Shriner and member of Abou Ben Adhem Temple and the Greenfield Masonic Lodge. He was a member of South Haven Baptist Church where Jim and Patty met and were married. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved spending time on the lake and in the woods. He fished many area, regional, and national Bass Tournaments with his wife, Patty. He had many hobbies and was a founding member of the “Nomads” car club and “Ozarks Bass Club.”

There will be a visitation and Celebration of Life for family and friends on Saturday, March 27th from 4-6pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home South in Springfield.
