James Dixon Street 81, Marshfield, died Monday, March 25, 2013 in Mercy Hospital, after a long ilness. He was born June 25, 1931, in Okemah, Oklahoma to Roy Dixon and Della Mae (Whitley) Street. He was a retired Air Force veteran of 22 years and he also had driven for Yellow Cab Company for 37 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Letha Street, who preceded him in death in 2011. Survivors include: 4 sons: Ronnie Street,Springfield, Mo., Jimmy Street, Valdosta Ga.,Gerald Street; Diggins, Mo., and Perry Street Seymour, Mo. 5 daughters: Joann Wormington and Janet Sanders; Seymour, Mo.,Laura Moles and Charlotte Presley: Springfield, Mo., and Kathy Engle; Marshfield, Mo. along with 2 brothers: Verdin Street; Rogersville, Mo. and J.T. Street; Oronogo, Mo., 3 sisters: Marge Turner; Springfield, Barbara Tillman and Shirley Peck, both Fordland, Mo. several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside Services will be Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery.
