James Franklin Bonner, age 40, of Springfield, MO, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Cox Medical Center South. He was born August 6, 1973, in Springfield, MO, to Louis and Carolyn (Reed) Bonner. James grew up on the family farm with his grandparents James and Mary Reed. He was a graduate of Hillcrest High School. James worked for Springfield Engineering Company. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his daughter and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 178.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tracy Bonner of the home; the other love of his life , Ruby Dean Bonner, his daughter; two step-daughters, Kendra Hill and husband Dustin of Elkland and Katlyn Nimmo of Lindsborg, Kansas; his mother Carolyn Sue Mullin of Garfield, Arkansas; his maternal grandparents, James and Mary Reed of Springfield; one aunt Debbie and husband Jack Wood of Springfield; one uncle Ralph and wife Becki Reed of Springfield; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO. Burial will be held in Mt. Comfort Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ruby Bonner Education Fund.
