James Jeffery “Jeff” Vogt, 50, of Springfield, Mo passed away December 14, 2020 in his home.
Jeff was born December 30, 1969 in Alton, Mo to James and Martha Vogt. Jeff was a networking engineer for Lumen (formerly CenturyLink). He married Tina E. McDonald October 18, 2008 in Eureka Springs, AR. He studied music at MSU where he graduated with a Masters Degree in music and was one semester away from his Doctorate. Jeff played multiple instruments, but loved the alto sax. He played with Kenny Rogers, Bobby Vinton, The Osmonds and many other entertainers. Jeff loved fishing and camping with his son Nick and he always took every opportunity to go to the beach.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife Tina and their son Nicholas James both of Springfield along with his faithful companion Rocky; his mother Martha of Galena, MO; his sister Lynette VanGundy and her husband Chester of Cape Fair, MO and his niece Emily VanGundy.
A celebration of Life will be at 1:00 pm Thursday December 17, 2020 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Friends may call between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm Thursday prior to the service. Interment will be at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
