James Robert “Joe” Duryee, 74, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away October 15, 2018, at his home. He was born, April 1, 1944 in Bolivar, Missouri to Carrie E. Duryee.
He is preceded in death by his mother and step father: Carrie and Gene Kates, and a brother: Bennie Carl Duryee
Joe married Isabelle Shewey on September 17, 1966. To this union three children were born: two boys and one girl.
Joe is survived by his wife Isabelle of 52 years of the home, his children, Jim & Connie Duryee of Pittsburg, MO., Joy Hickman & William Crews of Willard, MO., and Joe Logan Duryee of Fulton, MO., his grandchildren, Abby Duryee Taylor, Alex Duryee Klinedenst, A.J. Duryee, Courtney Hickman, Logan Robert Duryee, and Sybil Duryee, His great grandchildren, Levi and Landon Duryee, and a brother, Cletis Parrish.
Graveside services for Joe Duryee will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 19, 2018 at Greenwood Cemetery, with Pastor Deryl Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Pitts Chapel. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Bolivar, Missouri.
