James Kenneth Claybough age 52, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away Thursday, February 15th, 2024, at Mercy Hospital. James Kenneth Claybough age 52, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away Thursday, February 15th, 2024, at Mercy Hospital.
A native of Nixa, he was the only son of Richard Claybough and Lizabeth Claybough (Allen) and will be deeply missed.
James was a hard worker. He started farming at the age of 13 with Richard Gregg. He later worked at Paul Mueller in the tank shop for 17 years as a welder and then supervisor.
James graduated high school in 1989 and married Kristi Dover, in this union they shared two children Calli Jean Black and Spouse Garrett, Landen James Claybough and spouse Aryez. Four grandchildren, Ellinor, Margot, Kohen, and Adalyne. James met his fiancé Cheri Strand in Oklahoma where they spent the last 7 years happily together. James made many friends in Missouri and Oklahoma and will be missed by many.
James loved playing pool- this was something he started playing as a kid and continued to play through adulthood. He loved pool so much, when he started his own trucking company, he named it 8 Ball Trucking. James also enjoyed fishing and hunting in his free time.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 24th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens 3506 N. National Springfield, Missouri 65803.
