James Kenneth “Kenny” Stevens passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 13, 2026 at the age of 78.

Kenny was born on June 21, 1948, in Chadwick, Missouri, to the late William and Kathryne Stevens. Guided by a strong sense of duty, Kenny chose to leave high school early to serve his country in the United States Army. He proudly served two tours in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart for his bravery and sacrifice.

Above all else, Kenny’s greatest passion in life was his family. An avid outdoorsman, he found peace and joy in fishing, hunting, and spending time in nature. Kenny was also a remarkably talented woodworker whose craftsmanship reflected his patience, care, and attention to detail. A truly generous soul, Kenny spent his life helping others, quietly making a difference in the lives of those around him without expecting anything in return.

Kenny was married to the love of his life, Janna Sue Green. Together, they raised three sons, Mark, Chris, and Brian. He took immense pride in his role as a grandfather to his three granddaughters, Lorien, Khaila, and Sierra Stevens, who brought endless joy to his life.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, William and Kathryne Stevens, and his three brothers, Phil, Johnny, and Paul Stevens.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Janna; his three sons, Mark (Jeri) Stevens, Chris Stevens, and Brian Stevens; his cherished granddaughters, Lorien, Khaila, and Sierra Stevens; his sister, Judy; his sisters-in-law, Imogene and Linda; as well as a nephew, several nieces, extended family members, and many dear friends.

Kenny leaves a giant hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, but his strength, generosity, and legacy of love will remain with his family forever.
