James L. Hunt, of Polk County, passed away October 6, 2012, with his wife and niece at his bedside. Jim was born October 10, 1950, in Springfield to Gordon Leslie and Mary Jacqueline (McBride) Hunt. After spending his childhood with his mother and step-father, Jack L. Breedlove, living in Sacramento, Calif., and Springfield, he proudly chose to serve in the U.S. Air Force.
Jim and his beloved wife, Rhonda S. (Ball) Hunt, were married January 28, 1977. He spent many years working in manufacturing, construction management and quality control in the paint and construction industries. Outside of work, he loved spending time with family, singing, joking, telling stories, and loving life in the country. His children and grandchildren were precious to him, and Jim loved every one of them deeply.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and step-father. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda, and three sons, Jason L. Hunt, James Eric Hunt and his wife, Jessica, and Shaun L. Hunt. Jim is also survived by three brothers, Michael L. Hunt and his wife, Rebecca, Stephen J. Breedlove and his wife, Donna, and Timothy S. Breedlove and his wife, Angie; two sisters, Denise R. Breedlove and Jacqueline K. Harness and her husband, Jerod; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and services are Thursday at 3 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with Bradley Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Bellview Cemetery.
Although Jim has joined loved ones in Heaven, he is missed in this world. We will always carry with us his continuous humor and unconditional love.
