James Lee Hoover,73, of Springfield, MO., died at 7:19 a.m. on Monday July, 30 2013 at Mercy Hospital.
James was born in Springfield, MO, on August 14, 1939 the son of Kenneth Paul and Mary Lou “Caruthers” Hoover.
James had served with the Missouri National Guard.
James was the past president of his beloved “Hoover Music Company”, where he enjoyed meeting with his customers, and listening to the music of the Big Band Era, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, and many others. He also loved the Clarinet.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents: his wife, Carolyn in 2000; a brother Kenneth Paul Hoover; and two sisters, Paula Jean Rigdon (Jerry), and Mary Catherine Butcher.
James is survived by his two children, Brian Hoover of Springfield,Mo. and Suzanne Stevens of Shawnee, Kansas; five grandchildren; and a host of many friends.
PRIVATE Graveside services will be held at a later date. No visitation is planned. Arrangemenets are under the direction of Greenlawn North Funeral Home.
