James Martin Rhea, age 65, of Springfield, MO, crossed over Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Jordan Creek Nursing and Rehab. He was born January 25, 1946, in Van Burean, MO, to Otho and Oma Rhea.
James was a member of the Dale Street Baptist Church and served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1964.
He was preceded in death by his father, Otho Rhea; two brothers, Dempsey and Denny Paul; and one sister, Kay.
He is survived by his wife, Karen of Springfield, MO; mother, Oma Elvira Shipp of Ellington MO; son, James Rhea Jr. of Ellington; three grandchildren; numerous stepchildren and their families; four brothers, David, Bobby, Keith, and Charlie; and two sisters, Pat and Cathy.
No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hulston Cancer Center Springfield, MO, or Dale Street Baptist Church Missions Program. Cremation services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
