James “Jim” Noel Morgan, 90, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away peacefully in his home July 11, 2026. Jim was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and lived a long, full life surrounded by family and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Noel Conrad Morgan and Lula May (Gray) Morgan, and his brother, Donald Morgan. He is survived by his wife, Frances Louise Morgan; his sister, Linda Sutton; his sons, Jonathan Quinn Morgan and Monte Alan Morgan; and his grandchildren, Jesse, Jamie, and Jordan Morgan.

Jim was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in St. Louis and proudly served his country in the Navy Reserve for 8 years. Throughout his working years, he owned and operated several service stations, two with Standard Oil and one Zephyr station. Later, he opened an offset printing shop, which built his reputation for dependability and quality work.

An avid outdoorsman, Jim loved hunting and fishing, and he was never happier than when he was outside enjoying nature. He was known throughout his community for his generous spirit—always willing to lend a hand with a house project, a car repair, or simply to sit and talk. Jim never met a stranger; he loved being around people and could often be found walking down the street, stopping to talk with neighbors along the way. His kindness, warmth, and willingness to help will be remembered by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on July 15th at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM, both at Greenlawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 5:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Blepharospasm Foundation in Jim’s memory.
