Though I hadn't seen Jean in about 35 years, my wife and I still have fond memories of her. She welcomed us into her home when I was in AIT at Fort Leonard Wood and we were recently married. Jean actually picked my wife up at the airport in St. Louis and drove her to Springfield, bought a new tent to set up out back for the newlyweds, took us to Silver Dollar City, fed us MUCH delicious food and sincerely modeled the Love of Christ to two young people that needed it. We've often spoke of her unconditional love and beautiful spirit. We were preparing to travel through Springfield on the way West to visit family in Colorado for the Christmas holiday and were hoping that we might drop in and visit with Jean. I'm so sorry to hear she passed away. Know that she was very dear to us at that time and has always had a special place in our hearts! Robert Callahan, Shelby, NC

We will miss you Gma Jean. You brought many laughs and memories in my family that will always be cherished. Butch, John, Paula, Jim, Cindy and all your families, you had a wonderful mother that thought of others first. My heart hurts with your heart! The memories will last forever. Hugs to each one of you and may healing take time. Shelly Vaughn
