With hearts full of sorrow and gratitude, we announce the passing of Jami Kay Uhlman, who went home to be with the Lord on April 24, 2026, at the age of 49.
She was born on July 20, 1976, to Connie Clinton and Jim Skirvin. She graduated from Pittsburg High School and later from Southwest Baptist University. Jami found her calling in nursing and was deeply passionate about her work. She spent most of her career in pediatrics, where she found true joy in caring for children. Her compassion extended far beyond her profession, as she continually cared for others in everyday life with a gracious and selfless heart.
Jami will be remembered for her love of hosting, her craftiness, and her uncanny ability to arrive at any gathering with everything one might possibly need. Above all, she will be remembered for her deep and genuine love for her family. She was the connective tissue of the family and treasured every moment spent with them. She was a devoted daughter, sister, friend, and an incredibly proud mother of two. Her children were the light of her life, and that love was equally returned. They look forward to the day they will reunite with her on the golden swings in heaven. Jami was generous to her core, always giving and prioritizing the needs of others above her own.
She is survived by her mother, Connie Clinton; her children, Kaytlan Uhlman and Jordan Uhlman; her siblings, Vicki (Keith) McIntyre, David Neal Chandler, Robin (Chris) Barrett, Jimmy Skirvin, and Brandi (Tom) Back; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Allen Clinton, and her father, Jim Skirvin.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 30, at 10:00 AM at Greenlawn East, 3540 E. Seminole St., Springfield, MO 65809.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to CASA of Southwest Missouri.
