Janice Elaine (Klehm) White passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by family March 15, 2026, at 10:50 a.m. She was born April 28, 1947, to Russell and Eileen (Moranville) Klehm in Dana, Iowa. Her family moved to Springfield, Missouri, during her adolescent years and she graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1965.
Janice married Bob G. White on April 28, 1973, and shared a life of love and happiness, going on many adventures together. They remained married for 53 short years.
She is survived by her husband, Bob White; a sister, Sandra Speer; a daughter, Christina (White) Essick and her spouse, Curtis Essick, of Chadwick, MO; grandson, Aaron White and spouse Jenna (Walker) White of Springfield, MO; granddaughter, Makalie (Woods) Dean and spouse, Jesse Dean of Ozark; granddaughter, Tessa (Essick) Nelson and spouse, David Nelson; and two great-granddaughters, Emily and Journey; and one great-grandson due in May 2026; many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends!
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her son, James; her brother, Kenneth Klehm; sisters, Karen Inman and Marlyn Branam; and a brother-in-law, John Branam.
Janice’s most prized possessions were her family, and friends who became family! She loved fearlessly and would give the clothes off her back for those she loved!
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2026, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 E. Seminole, in Springfield, MO.
