Janice Faye (Blevins) Stewart, a dedicated daughter of Nixa, MO, peacefully passed away on April 21, 2024, at her residence in Nixa, MO. Born on February 5, 1947, Janice leaves behind a legacy that embodies resilience and strength.
Throughout her life, Janice fearlessly navigated a career as a Truck Driver in the US Government Military sector, transporting explosives for the US Government. Her unwavering commitment to her work and her family made her an inspiration to all who knew her.
Janice will forever be remembered by her loving daughter, Melissa and spouse Mark George, her cherished granddaughters and grandson (in-law) Jana and Robert Aven, and Hannah George. Great-grandchildren Elissa and Alexis Aven, Maddox Casteel, and Harlow George who brought endless joy and pride to her life and were her world. She also leaves behind her brother-in-law Robert (Sandy) Stewart, sister-in-law Martha Boal, many nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her, including neighbors Doug and Linda Romines.
A Graveside Service in her honor is set to take place at Glenn Cemetery on April 27, 2024, at 1:00 pm. Prior to the service, a Public Viewing will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home South starting at 11:00 am.
In her memory, Janice will be laid to rest at 654 W. Riverdale Road, Nixa, MO 65714, surrounded by the natural beauty that she held dear, during her lifetime. Janice Faye Stewart may have transcended from this world, but her spirit and love will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her.
Janice was preceded in death by: Her husband William (Chris) Stewart, her parents Fred and Bessie (Glenn) Blevins, Infant brother Glenn Blevins, Brother Todd Blevins, Brother William (Joan) Blevins, Sister Velma Lou (Robert) Soden, Brother Gene Blevins, Her twin Brother Steven Ray “Tommy” Blevins, best friend and niece Saundra (David) Covey, and Mother and Father In-Law Norma and William Stewart.
