Janice Lee Brooks-Vermillion, age 60, of Marshfield, MO, went to be with her Savior on Monday, October 28, 2013 in her home surrounded by her loving family . She was born December 19, 1952, in Springfield, MO, to James and Betty (Freeman) Brooks. She was a member of Higher Vision Church in Rogersville, MO. Janice liked garage selling, painting, fishing, and decorating her house for Christmas, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her greatest passion was sharing her faith and her love of Jesus to everyone she knew.
She was preceded in death by her father,James R. Brooks. She is survived by her husband of seven years, Richard Vermillion; three children, Michael Bell and wife Amy of Fair Grove, Mark Bell and wife Jessica of Republic, and Angela Mitchell and husband David of Seymour; seven grandchildren, Dalena, Nicole, Christopher, Taylor, Anna, Ashton, and Lyla; one great-grandchild, Trebor; her mother, Betty Ann Brooks; two brothers, Jerry Brooks and James Brooks; four sisters; Sandy Vise, Vicki Kelchner, Kathy McBride, and Lori Brooks; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO with Pastor Sue Warner officiating. Burial will be held in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
