Jay (Buddy) Treese was born on July 5th, 1965 in Springfield, Missouri to the parents of Donald and Beulah Treese. He departed this life on Friday January 8th, 2021 at 6:58pm, surrounded by his family, after his battle with cancer.
Jay was known as a prestigious Respiratory Therapist starting in December of 1992 after completing his education. His hobbies included training racehorses, spending time with family, being outdoors and spoiling his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sister Debbie Morris, nephew Lucas Morris, niece Raelyn Hickman and other extended family members.
Jay is survived by his four children, their spouses and children. Chris and Courtney Treese with children Barron, Blakely, and Benton of Ozark, Missouri. Mallary and Justin Varriale of New Lenox, Illinois. Rinnie and Zach Reed with children Anjelyna, Jeremia, Scout and Lettey of Trimble, Missouri. Kenzie and Seth Raney with children Naomi and Jarrett of Springfield, Missouri. Along with his survived siblings, Cathy and Jr Hickman, Jim Treese, Dan Morris, John and Elaine Treese, Jan and Merle Bever, Amy and Allen Grisham, and Joe and Deanne Treese, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
His memorial service will be held at Greenlawn North Funeral Home on Friday January 15th, 2021. His visitation will be from 3-4pm with service to follow.
Jay asked that memorial donations be made to the Cancer Research Foundation. His family wishes to thank Access Hospice, his Physician Brian Ladesich, his medical team and the Mayo Clinic who assisted and provided care for him.
