Jean E. Mathis, age 80 of Bolivar, Mo. passed away January 14 2012, in Springfield Missouri. She was born January 1, 1932 in Houston,Texas to Jewell G. and Elizabeth (Terry) Sellars.
Jean was a homemaker, loving Mother and Grandmother, and had worked for H&R Block for many years
Jean is survived by five sons: Richard Mathis, Mike Mathis and wife Roxane, Ron Jaudon and Partner Rustie Kaplan, Pat Mathis, Bill Jaudon and Partner Pam Bennett, three daughters Peggy Hodges, Judy Payne, Ellen Wiertzema and husband Jason, one daughter in-law Connie Jaudon and one sister in-law Helen Sellers, one brother Dick Sellars and wife Peggy, 17 grandchildren and 17 great grand-children.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents Jewell G. and Elizabeth (Terry) Sellars, husband Charles H. Mathis, one son ,Jim Jaudon, one brother, George Sellars and one son- in-law, Virgil Hodges.
Visitation will be January 16, 2012 6:00-8:00 pm in Pitts Chapel.
Funeral services for Jean will be Tuesday January 17, 2012 1:00 pm in the Chapel with Chaplain Jim Friend and Pastor Bob officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Cemetery , Bolivar Mo.
