Jeff was born May 12, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Peggy Ann Tribbey and Jay Don Owsley. He passed from this world on February 17, 2024.

Jeff grew up in Kansas City and Springfield, Missouri. He was part of a large family and had many friends. He was a warm and calm person with a generous heart. He helped take care of many friends and family alike. If anyone needed help, all they had to do was ask. Jeff moved back to Springfield to care for his mother, who became gravely ill a few years ago. He enjoyed family dinners and was close to many in his family. He was an avid reader and enjoyed books and movies. Jeff was a strong man, was soft spoken, and had a smile for everyone. He was a diesel mechanic for many years with CTI in Springfield. Jeff shared everything that he had. He will be missed by so many. He will be remembered for his strength and his kindness.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Tribbey; his father, Jay Don Owsley; and his maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his brothers, Jay Owsley, Jim Owsley, and Joel Owsley, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Jeff’s family will host a Celebration of Life visitation on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 pm, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield. No other services are scheduled at this time.
