Jeremy David Crabtree
February 11, 1977 – January 13, 2017
Jeremy David Crabtree died January 13, 2017, in his home with his wife and family by his side, after a brief but aggressive battle with paranasal osteosarcoma.
Jeremy was the first child of Cindy (Beavers) and David Crabtree of Republic, MO. His younger brother, Chris, was born 19 months later and remained his lifelong hunting partner and friend. Jeremy attended Republic schools his entire childhood and was very proud of his hometown. Jeremy excelled in art classes throughout high school, but was most notably a pitcher for Republic in high school and led his team to many victories along the way. After graduating in 1995, he went on to pitch for Missouri Southern State University for one year. Baseball and the St. Louis Cardinals were a lifelong passion for him that he shared with his friends and family.
Jeremy married the love of his life, Chris-Anne Carden on August 4, 2004 in Negril, Jamaica. They enjoyed going to baseball games, traveling, going to concerts and spending time with their many friends throughout their marriage. Jeremy's life became more special than he could ever imagine in 2008, with the birth of their first child, a daughter named Carson Catherine. Becoming a father was the best thing that could have ever happened to him. He even had a chance to enjoy being a stay-at-home father to her for the first year of her life. Then in 2010, he became a father to a son, Cameron David, his precious boy who he would look forward to sharing his love of baseball, hunting and fishing. Throughout the years he worked for Carnahan-White Fence Company, Emery Sapp and Sons, and found his calling working for Cox Home Support, eventually certifying as an orthotic fitter.
Besides his immense love for his immediate family, Jeremy had a very special love for his large extended family, the Beavers family from Willow Springs, MO. His mother, Cindy, has nine brothers and sisters who have maintained close family ties like no other. Every year they have a Beavers Family Reunion in Mammoth Spring, AR that Jeremy looked forward to every year so he could see his aunts, uncles and cousins. He especially enjoyed sharing the love for this family and reunion with his children.
Jeremy is survived by his wife of 12 years, Chris-Anne, and his daughter Carson(8) and son Cameron(6) of Springfield, MO; parents David and Cindy Crabtree, both of Republic, MO; brother Chris and sister-in-law, Ann Marie, a nephew, Makai, and niece, Della Marie, all of Jefferson City, MO; and in-laws Gary and Jane Carden of Battlefield, MO, along with an extended Beavers and Crabtree family that stretch from Los Angeles, CA to Saratoga Springs, NY.
Memorial contributions honoring Jeremy may be made to Lost and Found, 1555 S. Glenstone Ave, Springfield, MO, 65804, a grief support group that has preemptively helped his children and wife to gain acceptance and to pre-grieve the loss of their beloved father and husband.
Visitation with the family has been arranged at Greenlawn East Funeral Home, 3540 E. Seminole, Springfield, MO 65809 for Friday January 27 from 5-8pm. Memorial services will also be held at Greenlawn East Funeral Home on Saturday January 28, 10am.
Jeremys' presence and never-ending small talk will be missed by so many who love him. Live your life to the fullest and….Go Cards!
