Jerroll “Jerry” T. Breshears, age 87 of Bolivar, MO, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022, at Township Senior Living Battlefield, MO. He was born October 18, 1934, to William Jackson and Minnie Lois (Brooks) Breshears. He was saved as a young boy and a life long member of Goodson Missionary Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 54 years Maureen; and 11 siblings.
Jerry is survived by his children: Bruce Breshears of Broomfield, CO, Mike Breshears of Bolivar, MO, Karen Breshears of Olathe, KS, and Susan Osten of Kansas City, MO; three grandchildren: Tyler Cobb of Lawrence, KS, Mindy Grant and husband Payne of Halfway, MO, and Jackson Osten of Kansas City, MO; two great grandchildren: Lincoln and Georgia Grant; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, August 12, 2022, at Pitts Chapel with Bro. Dan Breshears officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery Polk, MO. Visitation will be held one hour before services from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com. My dearest apologizes to the loss of a wonderful man. I was one of his care takers for a brief time, but he made going in to work worth it!
Always a ray of sunshine cracking jokes. To be named as one of his many “girlfriends” it breaks my heart to hear of his passing. I know he’s up in heaven being the life of the party making sure everyone is smiling! We will miss you Jerry.
