Jerry Lee Maples, age 71, of Republic, MO, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011 in his home. He was born August 11, 1939, in to Byron and Filettes (Little) Maples.
Jerry played basketball at Clever High School. He was a retired business owner, he loved fishing, raising cattle, and eating breakfast with his friends at Nixa Livestock Auction.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Filettes Maples.
He is survived by a brother, Mickey Maples of Republic; a sister, Becky Pearce of Clever; grandson, Matt Mahon of Republic, MO; and a great-grandson, Dalton Mahon.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2011, in Delaware Cemetery, Christian County, Mo. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. on Monday, January 10, 2011 also in the funeral home.
