Jesse Ray Dixon Highfill, age 11, of Fair Grove, MO, passed away Friday, January 28, 2011. He was born January 28, 2000, in Springfield, MO, to Eugene and Ginny (Dixon) Highfill.
He was a member of the Mt. Comfort Bible Church was in the 4th grade at Fair Grove Elementary. Jesse enjoyed playing all sports, hunting and fishing with his dad, and playing card and board games.
He never met a stranger and loved everybody.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Highfill and maternal grandfather, David Dixon.
He is survived by his mother, Ginny Highfill Fair Grove, MO; two sisters, Kara Highfill and Katie Highfill both of the home; paternal grandparents, Willa and Hubert Highfill, Fair Grove; his maternal grandmother, Barbara Dixon of Fair Grove; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 3, 2011, in Fair Grove High School Gym with Rev. Tom Dykes officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Fair Grove, MO.
Visitation will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 in Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fair Grove Band Boosters and Fair Grove Soccer Academy.
Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO. An additional memorial fund has been established at Empire Bank.
