Jessie B. George went home to be with Jesus on November 1st, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and three sisters.
Jessie is survived by his loving wife, Judy, of which he enjoyed 61 years of marriage with, his daughter Kimberly Gaines and a son-in-law Kenneth Gaines, a sister, three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other close family and friends.
Jessie served in the United States Air Force and later retired from Dayco Manufacturing. Jessie enjoyed going to the late model dirt car races and watching his favorite driver, Brad Looney. He also loved gardening and landscaping. He was a charter member of Charity Baptist Church of Springfield, Missouri.
There will be a memorial visitation held for Jessie on Friday, November 6, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm in Greenlawn Funeral Home South; with a memorial service to follow. Interment will take place in Lindsey Chapel Cemetery in Republic, Missouri. Memorial donations may be in Jessie’s name to Charity Baptist Church.
